The Attica High School has received a grant from the TechPoint Foundation for Youth to start a high school level competition robotics team. As part of the VEX Robotics Competitions, students work together to build robots that compete in intensely competitive games versus schools throughout the state (and potentially beyond).
This year's high school game is called Over-Under. You can see a preview here:
The high school team joins a middle school team which will now be entering its second year, after receiving a startup grant last year from the TechPoint Foundation for Youth.
The game for this year's middle school is Full Volume.
Both teams are coached by Nick Corduan, who is the directory of technology at Attica Consolidated School Corporation and an instructor of STEM and high ability classes at the elementary and middle school.
