AES New Teacher Spotlight
Mrs. Macee Overman -- 2nd Grade
Hello! my name is Macee Overman. I grew up in Veedersburg, where I have 10 siblings. I actually started my education at Attica and finished at Fountain Central. I recently graduated from IUPUI with a Master’s in Elementary Education. I also played collegiate basketball at IUPUI for 5 years, where I received several accolades. I was the first women’s athlete to get drafted from IUPUI into the WNBA. I was selected to play for the Phoenix Mercury. I decided to head back home because I felt I could do more than basketball. I love doing anything competitive, spending time with my family, and reading. I was recently married in May. My husband and I have two cats together. I am excited to be a part of the Attica Elementary School Corporation and the community! Go Ramblers!

AES New Teacher Spotlight
Mrs. Holly Kiger -- Kindergarten
I grew up in Delphi, Indiana with my loving parents and brother. I attended Indiana State University and graduated with a dual major in Elementary and Special education. I've been teaching for 14 years and have worked with children the majority of my life. I live in Covington Indiana with my husband Brad and my two daughters Hadley and Bentley. We have a Golden Retriever named Charley and a cat named Patches. We also have fish and two frogs. I enjoy being outside, walking on the trails, sitting around a campfire, spending time with my friends and family, watching my girls play sports, listening to music, going out to eat, bowling, traveling, and participating in church activities. I have always loved and supported small towns and we love being involved in our community. I am so excited to join Attica Elementary School and for my girls and I to be Attica Ramblers!

The cross country teams are back at it after dead week. Coach Poston passed out his traditional 3rd year varsity awards to Abe Remaklus, Maddox Rice, and Kyler Stamper as well as the June CPR award to Maggie Cunningham.

Pavement milling at the Attica schools campus is scheduled to start on July 2nd. Included areas extend from the multipurpose building and bus barn all the way down Rambler Lane to Sycamore St, as well as all parking all areas in front of the buildings, including the lot outside the central office. The milling itself will last until July 5th or July 8th, during which time surfaces not being actively worked can be driven on.
Immediately following the milling, paving will begin and surfaces will then be undriveable for approximately two weeks. The road behind the new elementary school will continue to be useable, and will be the only way in and out of campus.

Attica Jr-Sr High School is proud to announce Mrs. Barbi Balensiefer as the new building Principal and Mr. Andrew Hall as the new Dean of Students. These two are familiar faces within the Attica Consolidated School Corporation and both are excited to take on their new roles and serve in a new capacity.
