
Mr. Lathrop's 6th grade PE classes visited the ropes course and are being trained by Mrs. Mattern. Today they practiced falling and learned how to catch their teammates.



Thanks to Mrs. Mattern and Ms. Cunningham for providing our staff with QPR training today. A heavy topic, but so important that we all be aware.

For National IT Professionals Day, Student Council thanks Nick Corduan and Jacob Herbst (he looks excited) for all their hard work. They do a lot of behind the scenes work that is hard to physically see, but it doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you from everyone in the school!!



Our AHS cross country teams competed at the Bi-County meet at Hanging Rock last night
. Congrats to Abe Remaklus whom received All- Bi-County varsity honors. Jr high girls won their third Bi-County title - a real “three peat” and jr high boys won their first Bi-County title.

Mrs. Newman's Biology students did a lab today and learned about the properties of water.



Mrs. Helms did a science experiment today on the states of matter.



Mrs. Mix’s class is learning about measurement. Today they measured various objects in the auditorium!





Mrs. Mattern's culinary arts classes picked apples from our very own Rambler tree today and then prepared homemade applesauce. Delicious!



Mrs. Beck’s Animal Science students held a dog show. Judges asked participants specific questions about their breed.







Congratulations to this week's positive office referral recipient, Halle Stanfield-Stephens. Mrs. Santon shared, "Halle has a Great attitude and work ethic. Halle has been working hard in the classroom and keeping a positive attitude."


Mrs. Current's Administrative and Office Management class learned how to make Frappe's and Coffee today. They also taste tested the product so that any changes could be made before selling them. They'll be ready for the opening of Java & Threads next week.

We missed a few of our NWEA record breakers yesterday. Congrats again to all who made it on the record board for their efforts this Fall!


Great night for both junior high and varsity cross country teams. Despite the rain almost 100% of the varsity team met their personal goals. Likewise the junior high team all met their goals and ribboned and/ or medaled. The junior high girls won the meet against South Vermillion
