Student council will be holding a Halloween Costume Contest on Tues, Oct 31st. Students are able to wear Halloween Costumes to school for a $1 donation. All funds collected will be donated to Hope Springs. See flyer for costume rules. We can't wait to see your costumes!


Tami Hicks from the Wabash Valley Education Consortium was back again this afternoon to continue her series with our staff. Today they discussed learning progressions and various ways that students can express mastery.


Second grade students have been working hard on writing skills this school year. During the first nine weeks students completed an 8 page autobiography using text features found in nonfiction text. We hope all parents have the opportunity to check out their child's work during parent/teacher conferences. The students worked so hard on this project and are very proud of their work!

Our High School students have made it to Hanging Rock for our first quarter incentive. Middle school will be coming this afternoon. Looks like a great day to be outside and enjoying the activities.


Congratulations to Olivia Pattengale and Henley Rice for being recognized at the school board meeting tonight. They were students of the month for 5th grade.



Please join us in welcoming our newest staff member, Mr. Dan Dawson. Mr. Dawson will be helping in the office with student discipline, attendance, and supervision. We are excited to have him working with our students at the jr-sr high school.


During the celebrating success portion of tonight's board meeting high school student council sponsors, Mrs. Crane and Mrs. Mattern were joined by officers Eli French and Ady Goodwin. Together they shared upcoming activities they have planned for the year.


On Tuesday, Oct. 24th we will be taking eligible students to Hanging Rock.
Eligilibility lists and permission slips were posted before break and permission slips were passed out. Permission slips also included a waiver for Hanging Rock. Both must be signed in order to go.
